Experience Roman Chester with a Roman Feast
FRIDAY
16TH OCTOBER 2009
Gordon
Vickers Managing Director of the Mill Hotel & Spa. has always been a
keen advocate of Chester’s Roman connections. In his opinion it is a
Fascinating part of Chester’s history that should be promoted.
Following the
success of the Roman High Tea Cruises; the hour long afternoon tea
cruise with a narrative DVD of Chester and a roman soldier, on board the
Mill Hotel & Spa Restaurant Cruiser, Gordon Vickers has created the
Roman Feast.
The Roman
inspired Feast is served in the hotels Canaletto Restaurant, it takes
the form of the emperors Choice of Meats; Fillet of Beef, Lamb Cutlets,
Medallion of Pork, Chicken Breast wrapped in bacon and venison sausage.
Served from the kitchen on a legionaries’ spike, then flamed at the
table onto a sizzling skillet, accompanied by a crescent of vegetables
with potato wedges. A feast fit
for an emperor.
Both roman
experiences; the Roman High Tea Cruises and the Roman Feast are open for
bookings now on Tel: 01244 350035. DVDs of Roman Chester are also for
