FRIDAY

Arrive at the hotel at your leisure, Car Parking is Complementary & Check-in is from 2:00pm. You are more than welcome to arrive earlier, Park your car and leave your luggage with us.

Roman High Tea Cruise (Unique to the Mill Hotel): 3.45pm – 5pm – Reaching Roman parts of Chester’s forgotten history that other transport does not have the privilege to reach. Relax and enjoy the historic views as we guide you through the history of the Shropshire Union Canal. During your 1-hour cruise we will serve you tea/coffee and a selection of Sandwiches & cakes. Our specially made narrative DVD will play during your cruise and we will endeavour to have a Roman Soldier onboard.

Leisure Time: relax and enjoy our facilities, Visit our Extensive Leisure facilities or maybe even treat yourself to a Treatment in our award wining Pevonia Beauty Spa.

Dinner: Reserve your table for your Roman Feast Dinner any time between 7pm & 9pm in the Canaletto Restaurant. Live Music will play while you dine and Dancing will follow until 1am.

SATURDAY

Breakfast: will be served in the Canaletto Restaurant between 7.30am and 10.00am

Attraction: Choose Tickets for either one of the following exciting Chester Attractions: Dewa Roman Experience or Chester Cathedral:

Dewa Roman Experience: Explore the Roman Galley and experience the sights, sounds and smells of Roman Britain. Archaeology, Dewa Roman Experience occupies a unique site at the heart of the original legionary fortress. This is a rare opportunity to view the genuine Roma, Saxon and medieval remains buried beneath Chester. Interact in the award-winning ‘hands-on’ room. Here you can do a variety of historically themed activities such as trying on Roman Armour, firing a catapult, handle ancient pottery and much more.

Chester Cathedral: Chester Cathedral is a truly remarkable building, with a history spanning almost two thousand years. Each part of the building represents the work of different generations combining to make the Cathedral that we see today. On the history tour you can discover more about the people and events which have shaped the Cathedral, from Medieval times, through to Tudor Times and the Reformation, and the Great Victorian Cathedral restoration.

Roman Walking Tour 12pm from Grosvenor Museum: A guided walking tour with a Roman Soldier from Roman Tours UK. Explore the city centre and see the remains of the biggest Roman fort in Britain and Britain’s only imperial amphitheatre. Your soldier guide also has knowledge of all the latest archaeological excavations and will be able to answer questions on that and on the lifestyle of Roman living in Chester

Lunch: Return to the Mill Hotel for Lunch at your Leisure. Roman Sausage & Mash Served, in the Real Ale Bar or Canaletto Restaurant. Our Roman Sausages have been made especially for the Mill Hotel by Chester’s award winning Sausage maker David Joinson of Quality Meats. Served on a bed of mash potato and accompanied with an onion gravy.

Dinner: Reserve your table for Dinner between 7pm and 9pm in the Canaletto, Inc Dancing. Enjoy a 3-course meal and coffee in the comfort of our Canaletto Restaurant.

SUNDAY

Breakfast: will be served in the Canaletto Restaurant between 7.30am and 10.00am

Check-out: by 11am, you are welcome to leave your luggage and car with us, if you wish to explore Chester further.
